If you are unfamiliar with Orthodox worship, it may seem different from other worship services you've been a part of. In Orthodox worship we incorporate all the senses; sight, hearing, smell, touch and even taste. The icons, the candles, the incense, the chat and song, the priest's vestments and the other traditions of our worship combine to involve all our senses in the worship of God. You might say Orthodox worship is multi-media...we just don't use electricity! The first thing you'll notice is that almost the entire service is sung or chanted, even the readings from the Scripture. If you'd like to join with us in the responses, please do. Liturgy song books are available. If you are not comfortable doing so, that's ok too! At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy please come forward to receive an individual blessing from our priest. During the Lord's Prayer, all children and youth are invited to come to the center of the church and receive a special blessing.
